This course describes the effectiveness of universal school-based randomized clinical trials for children and youth aimed at promoting psychosocial well-being, positive development, healthy lifestyle behaviors, and academic performance by improving emotional and social skills.

Objectives:

a). Describe the main features of interventions aimed at improving the well-being of youth.

b). Discuss the effectiveness of universal school-based randomized clinical trials for youth ages 0-17.

c). Describe “whole-school approaches.”

d). Name at least three interventions reviewed.
