Frequently Asked Questions About Our CEU Courses

How much do CE credits cost?

Recorded home study courses range from $10-$30 per CE. You can also opt-in to our “Everything Plan”  and get unlimited home study CE courseslive events/webinar CE courses, and comprehensive certificate programs for the cost of a single client copay, per month.

Note: Membership terms apply. They are published and can be viewed from our Membership page.

Will CE's from Online CE Credits be accepted by my state licensing board?

Glad you asked! While most state boards don’t absolutely guarantee credit from a given CE provider or for an individual CE course, regardless of approved provider status, we build our courses around the latest and most rigorous CE provider requirements from mental health’s top national professional associations to help ensure your state board, no matter your mental health profession, will accept your CE certificates earned from us. To view our current national CE provider approvals, check here.

Even if you’ve completed a course and your CE completion certificate was not accepted by your licensing authority (and we told you directly that it would be), contact us ANY TIME within 30 days to provide written documentation of your licensing board denial, and we’ll issue you a full refund for the cost of your individual course enrollment or live CE webinar admission (membership terms still apply).

Be sure to check with the applicable licensing board in your state of practice for its most recent licensure renewal requirements!

How many CEU courses do you offer?

Currently, our platform contains over 250+ home study CE courses, live CE webinars, and growing!

How do you calculate and assign # of CE credits to your online courses?

Note: In the field of mental health practice, a CE is defined as one credit toward licensure renewal. A CEU is defined as 10 CE credits toward licensure renewal.

For recorded video CE courses: The accepted standard is 1 CE credit for one hour of instruction, not to include registration time, time reviewing materials, etc.

For live webinar CE courses, the current standard is 1-CE per live hour of instruction.

Why do I have to take a quiz before getting my home study CE certificate?

This is a requirement of most mental health CE provider credentialing organizations, as well as most state licensing boards. This is especially true when the CE credits are obtained through asynchronous self-study. You may attempt your quiz more than once to pass with at least an 80%.

Once I enroll, how long do I have access to the course? When do I have to complete the quiz and earn my certificate?

Once you enroll in an individual course, that course is available indefinitely in your student dashboard with no access restrictions or completion due dates (the lifespan of a given course is typically 5-6 years before it is retired or replaced). Once you pass the quiz/post-test, your official signed PDF certificate is date stamped and automatically emailed to you as well as available for download from your Dashboard for up to one year after course completion.

For live CE webinar registrations, we ask that you mark your attendance and complete your course evaluation to receive your certificate of completion within 72 hours of the conclusion of your live training. Preferably, you should complete this step as soon as your live workshop has completed.

NOTE: If you are a member of our low-cost “Everything Plan,” access to course content and earned certificates is maintained as long as your membership is active and in good standing.
