This ADHD Assessment & Treatment Certificate Program is a comprehensive 18.75 CE training series designed for clinicians who want to go beyond the basics and apply a truly neurodiversity-informed approach to ADHD care. Taught by a team of expert instructors, including clinicians who self-identify as neurodiverse, the program blends research-based knowledge with lived experience to give participants both depth and practicality. Across four course modules, you’ll learn how to conduct accurate ADHD assessments using both objective and subjective tools, differentiate ADHD from common comorbidities, and implement evidence-based interventions that support children, adolescents, and their families. The program also explores how trauma, lifestyle, and modern social factors shape ADHD presentation, while equipping you with strategies for executive functioning support, emotional regulation, and fostering resilience. Special emphasis is placed on strengths-based, affirming interventions that reduce stigma, highlight ADHD “superpowers,” and guide clients toward thriving in a neurotypical world.

Program participants in clinical practice who complete this program become eligible to earn the ADHD-PT™ post-nominal certification credential and digital badge through Mind Works Continuing Education, LLC, signaling advanced, neurodivergent-affirming expertise in ADHD assessment and treatment.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to adhere to state laws, licensing board requirements, and educational standards around formal assessment within the state(s) where you are licensed to practice. Why Choose Us?

Why Choose Our Certificate in ADHD Assessment & Treatment?

A lot of attention is on ADHD these days (no pun intended!). Educators and school counselors are laser-focused on scanning for attention deficits in children and adolescents. Why? Because they realize when a kid’s ability to pay attention or focus is compromised, academic and social success is severely threatened.

More adults are specifically requesting “ADHD treatment” and/or evaluation for themselves at the urging of spouses, family members, schools, and even employers. We hear people say they’ve been “walking around with undiagnosed ADHD for a while.” Some people are genetically predisposed to struggle with attention. Our modern “Attention Industrial Complex” is built to highlight these natural deficits in real-time. In fact, one leading ADHD researcher, Len Adler, MD, believes that up to 75% of adults may have ADHD and not even know it!

Clients, technology, the school system, and a modern society of task bombardment demand that we as clinicians gain the appropriate clinical skillset to address this growing mental health concern.

This comprehensive certificate program provides you with synthesized research and practical knowledge of the brain (and specifically its prefrontal cortex) you can easily understand and apply in assessment and therapy. This program is also skills-intensive and contains everything you need to begin integrating neuroscience, knowledge of executive functioning, and assessment and treatment of attentional capability into your clinical practice. You can complete the program in about 20 self-paced hours. If you opt to submit your training requirements to receive your post nominal credential, you will not be required to take additional courses or pay more money just to keep your ADHD-PT™ post nominal credential “current.” We believe that when you’ve gained these practical ADHD assessment and treatment skills, you don’t lose them after one year, or five years. Just as you don’t have to earn your degree over and over, brain-informed therapy skills and competence are improved over time, not lost, so long as you continue to practice these skills and seek education and consultation when appropriate. If you find that you’re getting a little rusty, or feeling a little tentative, we welcome you to attend our group consultations (up to 4 for FREE with your program enrollment!), retake one or more of your enrolled on-demand program courses at no additional cost, or register for additional courses in our live webinar or home study CE catalog. Individual consultation sessions are also available with an ADHD expert if you’d like some more individualized help.

When you earn your Certificate in ADHD Assessment & Treatment and ADHD-PT™ post nominal credential through Mind Works Continuing Education, LLC, it becomes a signal to potential clients (and employers) that you’re ready and excited to help them improve attention and focus (and thereby increase their capacity for productivity and success)! And because your program level certificate and ADHD-PT™ certification credential doesn’t expire, you don’t have to worry about anyone telling you to stop listing it on your website, directory listings, etc.

We’re eager to help you start your ADHD learning adventure! If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at cc@onlinececredits.com.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to adhere to state laws, licensing board requirements, and educational standards around formal assessment within the state(s) where you are licensed to practice. Your licensing authority is the ultimate determiner of your clinical competence and requires that you work within your scope of practice.
