This event includes:

  • FREE registration for all those interested
  • FREE CE’s as well
  • FREE practical “Brain Science Toolkit”

Treating trauma can be stressful and difficult, even for the most experienced clinicians. And while evidence-based therapies show promise for helping many clients, sometimes the best approaches fail, leaving clinicians confused and unsure of what to try next. However, sometimes the reason for the failures is not that clinicians are choosing the wrong approach, broadly, but rather, the clinicians are doing the right things at the wrong time, and in the wrong order.

Brain science tells us not only on the types of techniques that show promise for helping clients recover from trauma, but also the optimal “order of operations” of trauma treatment; that is, the types of techniques that are most likely to help at specific times, and in what order. With a basic understanding of neuroplasticity (which is essentially how the brain changes), and the main brain areas associated with post trauma symptoms, you’ll be equipped to help, and better trouble-shoot, your most challenging traumatized clients!

Attendees will learn the basics of neuropsychotherapy, including the rules of brain change and key brain regions involved in mental health. In addition, this seminar emphasizes how to put this knowledge to use, bridging brain science and treatment, and teaching attendees several practical techniques for trauma recovery. Your FREE registration includes admittance to the live webinar, access to the recorded seminar (if you’d like to review the material, or if you can’t make the live webinar), and a FREE Brain Science Toolkit, which includes step-by-step instructions for over 20 practical trauma recovery skills.

Dr. Sweeton Recent Speaking Reviews:

Dr. Sweeton is an amazing presenter. She spoke for 6 hours without ever seeming to need a note even though every minute was packed with useful information for anyone dealing with trauma. She integrated neuroscience skillfully with her clinical applications. I thought she handled questions effectively as well because she paused about every 45 minutes to answer questions she thought would be applicable to the majority of attendees. I could not recommend her more. ~ Judith C., 2022

Dr. Sweeton gave an excellent and exceptional presentation on Neurodesensitization and Integration Training in understanding and treating trauma survivors. ~ Shellie L., 2022

I just did Dr. Sweeton’s 2 day Trauma Intensive Certificate training. Excellent! It’s intense and amazing. She took a difficult topic of the neuroscience of the brain and made it very accessible and understandable. I now feel that I know so much about the brain. I liked the overview of the integration of Narrative Therapy practices as I practice Narrative Therapy. Thank you Dr. Sweeton for demystifying EMDR and again making accessible and understandable. This has been some of the best money spent. I feel much more competent and confident as a therapist, thank you. ~ Angini M., 2021

I completed Dr. Jennifer Sweeton’s 2-Day Intensive Trauma Treatment Certification Workshop webinar. The first day Dr. Sweeton provided education on the brain and how it functions. She broke the information down into understandable parts. Dr. Sweeton made more sense of the brain parts and functions than any training I have attended over the past 25 years. She provides slides that are not only informative, but hold your atttention. On the second day, Dr. Sweeton provided education and instruction on actual treatment techniques. I enjoyed and appreciated this information the most. Rarely have I attended a seminar where attendees are given education and guidance on actual treatment techniques along with handouts to use in treatment. It is evident she put a lot of time and attention into this well organized webinar. It was well worth my time and money. I would recommend it to anyone who works with clients who are struggling with trauma related issues. ~ Starlene L., 2021
