This course provides information about demographic trends, definitions and risk factors for depression, prevalence of depression, and the impact and cost of depression. It also provides a brief summary stating why implementation of evidence-based practices (EBTs) is important.Objectives:1. Describe characteristics of the older adult population and factors for achieving successful aging.2. Discuss types, symptoms, and risk factors of depression in older adults.3. Evaluate the advantages of using evidence-based practices to improve the health and functioning of older adults with depression.4.
