What does it mean to be an anti-racist mental health agency and clinician? This training will define the ways in which racism, and specifically anti-Blackness, functions within mental health systems. Additionally, this training will outline the unique needs of Black survivors of sexual trauma and discuss implementing healing strategies that utilize liberation and resistance.

Objectives:
a). After completing this training, participants will be able to demonstrate an understanding of white fragility and white privilege.
b). After completing this training, participants will be able to develop insight into own white fragility and identify ways in which they’ve benefited from white privilege.
c). After completing this training, participants will be able to identify and interrupt microaggressions and microaggressive behavior.
d). After completing this training, participants will be able to understand the clinical and theoretical basis of race-based traumatic stress and historical trauma.
e). After completing this training, participants will be able to develop a foundation for clinical application of Liberation Psychology and resistance frameworks as a means of treating survivors of sexual trauma.
Target Audience:
The target audience for this event includes addictions specialists, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed counselors, MFT’s, and other clinical mental health professionals.
