This course consists of an 8-session outpatient therapy group manual for individuals suffering from gambling addictions. This manual outlines the structure of the group, as well as suggested activities and discussions.

Objectives:

a). Discuss the main topics to emphasize for each session.

b). Describe the similarities between pathological gambling and chemical dependence.

c). List at least three steps of the Gamblers Anonymous program.

d). Name at least two recovery strategies described in the manual.

Target Audience:

The target audience for this event includes psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed counselors, MFT’s, and other clinical mental health professionals.
