     10:00 am - 1:00 pm

    Central Standard Time (CST)

Suicide prevention and treatment has historically been taught through an oppressive and fear-based crisis intervention lens. However, creating safety for the client isn’t only about access to means and hospitalization. In order to better support our clients with thoughts of suicide and self-harm, we have to also consider the sense of safety we are providing for the client and helping them build within themselves. This course is designed to foster top – down and bottom-up skills for supporting suicidal clients that center connection, autonomy, empowerment, and prevent further harm.
