Interwoven with other influential relational models, clinicians will acquire practical tools and techniques to help couples build stronger, more fulfilling relationships. The course will cover various topics, including intimacy, conflict, boundaries, and more. Attendees will learn how to apply these principles and techniques in their clinical practice, with an emphasis on assisting couples in improving their communication skills and deepening their emotional connection.

Objectives:
This training will provide participants clinical knowledge and tools to:
a). Explore and discuss the most common reasons couples seek therapy services.
b). Understand and state the principles of the Sound Relationship House Theory.
c). Learn and practice interventions to help couples build a culture of appreciation and fondness in their relationship.
d). Learn and describe the concept of “small things often” to improve relationship connection and resiliency.
e). Describe and utilize the concept of Love Maps to help couples deepen their understanding of each other and improve their emotional connection.
f). Identify and describe applicable Gottman Card Decks to specific couples needs.
g). Identify and describe the four horsemen of the apocalypse in relationships.
h). Explore and practice interventions to help couples manage conflict and disagreements in a healthy and productive way.
i). Describe the role of physical intimacy in healthy relationships and ways to help couples improve their physical connection.
j). Learn and describe how to help couples set and maintain healthy boundaries in their relationship.
k). Identify and integrate major interpersonal communication theories to enhance clinical practice with couples.
l). Describe and state the current Gottman Method continued training options and where to find them.
Target Audience:
The target audience for this event includes psychologists, social workers, counselors, MFT’s, psychiatrists and other clinical mental health professionals.
