This course discusses the transmission, signs and symptoms, complications, and treatment of various STDs, in addition to prevention strategies.Objectives:a. Discuss the rates of occurrence in the United States of various STDs.b. Describe which populations are most vulnerable to which STDs.c. Discuss the methods of transmission for syphilis, gonorrhea, and genital HPV and herpes, and describe the symptoms of each.d. Name at least two methods that may help prevent the transmission of STDs.
