CE That Meets Alaska Requirements

If you’re a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Alaska, the requirements are:

A minimum of forty-five (45) contact hours of approved continuing education (CE) is required every two years for license renewal (by June 30 of even-numbered years).

At least three (3) contact hours of the forty-five (45) must be devoted to professional ethics.

6 hours in cross-cultural education (3 hours on Alaska Natives, first renewal only; 3 total hours per cycle thereafter), 3 hours in suicide education, 6 hours in substance abuse, and 3 hours in teletherapy per 2-year cycle. At least 10 hours must be live/live-online. All CE must be ASWB-approved, with no more than 12 home study hours per day.
