CE That Meets Kansas Requirements
If you’re a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Kansas, the requirements are:
A minimum of forty-five (45) contact hours of continuing education (CE) is required every two years for license renewal (by the last day of the licensee's birth month in even-numbered years).
At least six (6) of the forty-five (45) hours must be in ethics and/or professional conduct, and at least three (3) hours must be in cultural competence or diversity.
All CE must be from providers approved by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (e.g. an ASWB-ACE approved provider), with a maximum of twenty (20) hours allowed via non-interactive distance learning (e.g. asynchronous home study). The remaining hours must be obtained through live, interactive, or in-person formats.
