CE That Meets Washington Requirements
If you’re a Licensed Psychologist in Washington, the requirements are:
A minimum of sixty (60) contact hours of continuing education (CE) is required every three years for license renewal (reported on your birthday; the license is renewed annually, but CE is tracked on a 3-year cycle).
At least four (4) contact hours of the sixty (60) must be devoted to professional ethics. In addition, licensees must complete at least two (2) contact hours in health equity every four years and at least six (6) contact hours in suicide assessment, treatment, and management every six years (from the Department of Health model list). One (1) contact hour related to the jurisprudence examination is required during the first continuing education cycle after initial licensure.
Continuing education may be completed through courses, seminars, workshops, or other learning activities offered by professionally or scientifically recognized behavioral science organizations, including distance learning and online formats, provided the content meets requirements outlined in WAC 246-924-240.
