**This is a special 2-day, 12-CE webinar event.

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence-based and short-term, structured therapy approach for traumatized children and their caregivers. It has been refined for maximum effective outcomes over the span of 30 years, uniquely actively involving caregivers in the recovery and healing process. TF-CBT is structured, yet flexible. It is adaptive and comprehensive, focusing equally on intervention and the teaching of coping skills and emotion regulation.

This workshop will provide an overview of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and will discuss how to provide TF-CBT to children and adolescents who have experienced trauma. Experiential exercises, case examples, and multimedia will be used to provide applied, practical, clinical learning. The theory, model, and trauma-focused skills of TF-CBT will be presented and applied to clinical cases. Each of the PRACTICE components of TF-CBT will be discussed: Psychoeducation, Parenting Skills for Caregivers, Relaxation, Affect Identification and Regulation, Cognitive Coping, Trauma Narration and Processing, In-Vivo Mastery, Conjoint Child-Parent Sessions, and Enhancing Safety and Future Development.

The primary focus of this training is on how to provide TF-CBT in a flexible, responsive, and individualized manner to children and adolescents struggling with trauma and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.
