Jennifer Sweeton, PsyD, JD, MS, MA
Originally trained as a neuroscientist, Dr. Jennifer Sweeton is a clinical and forensic psychologist, Amazon #1 best-selling author in clinical psychology, and internationally-recognized expert on trauma and the neuroscience of mental health. She is the author of the Trauma Treatment Toolbox (PESI Publishing), Train Your Brain Card Deck (PESI Publishing and Media), Eight Key Brain Areas of Mental Health and Illness (W. W. Norton & Company), and the forthcoming Traumatic Stress Recovery Workbook (New Harbinger Publications, Inc). Dr. Sweeton completed her doctoral training at the Stanford University School of Medicine, the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology, and the National Center for PTSD. Additionally, she holds a master’s degree in personality psychology (with an emphasis in affective neuroscience) from Stanford University, and studied behavioral genetics and psychopathology at Harvard University. In 2025, Dr. Sweeton earned her JD from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and serves as Outside Counsel for Online CE Credits, which she co-owns. Dr. Sweeton resides in the greater Kansas City area, where she owns a private practice. Jerrod Brown, PhD, MA, MS, MS, MS
Jerrod Brown, Ph.D., M.A., M.S., M.S., M.S., is a professor, trainer, researcher, and consultant with multiple years of experience teaching collegiate courses. Jerrod is also the founder and CEO of the American Institute for the Advancement of Forensic Studies (AIAFS). Jerrod has also provided consultation services to a number of caregivers, professionals, and organizations pertaining to topics related to autism spectrum disorder (ASD), fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD), confabulation, suggestibility, sleep disturbances, trauma and other life adversities, alexithymia, executive dysfunction, criminal recidivism, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and youth firesetting. Jerrod has completed four separate master’s degree programs and holds graduate certificates in Medical Biochemistry, Exercise Prescription, Neuroscience and the Law, Neuropsychology, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Other Health Disabilities (OHD), and Traumatic-Brain Injuries (TBI). In 2021, Jerrod completed a post-doctoral certificate in Leadership and Organizational Strategy from Walden University and a Professional Certificate in Forensic Psychology from San Diego State University Global Campus. In 2023, Jerrod completed a diabetes care and education certificate from Central Arizona College. Currently, Jerrod is pursuing his fifth master’s degree in Applied Clinical Nutrition from Northeast College of Health Sciences. Jerrod has also conducted over 300 workshops, webinars, and on-demand trainings for various organizations and professional and student audiences. Jerrod has published several articles and book chapters, and recently, co-edited the book Forensic Mental Health: A Source Guide for Professionals (Brown & Weinkauf, 2018) with Erv Weinkauf. Jodi Ann Geis-Crowder, MS, LPC, ACS
Jodi is a dual-licensed Professional Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor (CCE/NBCC), and certified professional coach with 27 years of experience in behavioral health, clinical supervision, and rural service innovation across Colorado and Wyoming. Her continuing education trainings blend clinical depth with creative engagement, focusing on ethics, telehealth, clinical supervision, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, trauma-informed care (including Polyvagal Theory and somatic practices), couples and family therapy, the human–animal bond, and underserved, rural behavior health. Jodi pioneered animal-assisted therapy and therapeutic horticulture in community behavioral health settings, where she also served as clinician, program manager, and regional clinical director. Currently, Jodi is a clinical supervisor and educator with Volunteers of America Northern Rockies, and leads professional education, consultation, and coaching through JGC Enterprises, LLC. Jodi was selected for the ACA Supervision Course Curriculum Development Subgroup in 2025. She is also a professional watercolor artist and photographer.

Robert Cox, LPC
Robert Cox is an LPC in the state of Missouri and the president-elect of the American Counseling Association of Missouri. He owns a mental health practice, Life Recovery Consulting, with offices in Richmond and Liberty, MO. Robert is the author of the book, “The Life Recovery Method: Autism Treatment From a Trauma Perspective” and he specializes in Trauma with focuses in addiction and autism. No! The trainings and CEs (along with the program-level Certificate) are offered by Online CE Credits, but the certification credential and digital badge are issued by Mind Works Continuing Education, LLC, our independent certification body backed by a 30+ person advisory board.

Can I get new letters after my name when I complete the full certification?

Yes! Completion of all program courses gets you all the CEs through Online CE Credits and a program-level certificate. If you elect to complete all certification requirements through our independent certification body (Mind Works Continuing Education, LLC) you will receive a digital badge with a new post-nominal certification credential that you may advertise on your website, directories, CV, etc.
