This course includes a detailed manual and accompanying handouts for implementing the intervention, “Community Reinforcement and Family Training – Support and Prevention” (CRAFT-SP), a group psychoeducational approach for “Concerned Significant Others” of individuals with substance use disorders.
Objectives:
a). Describe the CRAFT approach and how it differs from the CRAFT-SP approach.
b). Name the five CRAFT-SP treatment goals.
c). Discuss the prognosis of alcohol/drug use and the need for ongoing engagement in treatment.
d). Identify at least three of the recommended CRAFT-SP group guidelines.
e). Describe at least four main themes detailed in the manual.
Target Audience:
The target audience for this event includes psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed counselors, MFT’s, and other clinical mental health professionals.
