This course familiarizes attendees with the concept of microaggressions, how they can impact clients, and methods for preventing and addressing them both in and out of therapy.
a). Define microaggressions.
b). Identify different types of microaggressions and learn their deleterious effects.
c). Recognize the connection between microaggressions and our ethical code
d). Learn specific techniques for identifying and addressing microaggressions.
The target audience for this event includes psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed counselors, MFT’s, and other clinical mental health professionals.
