Wings of Change: The Butterfly Effect of Targeted Neuro-Somatic Therapies

Price $75
CE's 2.5 CE’s

Introduction

Date Course Created: September 2026

In the nuanced field of neuro-somatic therapies, profound transformation often begins with the smallest of shifts. This course explores how seemingly minor physiological or emotional changes – or “micro-moments” – can initiate deep and lasting therapeutic breakthroughs. Grounded in Polyvagal Theory and somatic awareness, the training emphasizes the clinical power of attunement, co-regulation, and embodied presence to foster emotional resilience over time.

Through a series of experiential practices and clinical examples, participants will learn how to recognize and support these pivotal moments in clients. The course will also compare how these micro-interventions function across different therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness practices. You will leave with the skills to apply brief, targeted somatic techniques and integrate the powerful “Butterfly Effect” metaphor into your clinical work.

In addition to the formal course objectives listed below, this training includes:

  • Gain access to sample documents that reflect ethical management of clients challenged by feeling unsafe and disconnected.

  • View the training through an ethical lens that reflects the use of evidence-based assessments and intentional safety practices to support clients struggling with dysregulation.

  • Review the importance of obtaining and maintaining a relationship with a clinical supervisor or consultant to navigate challenging waters with clients challenged by emotion dysregulation.

  • A large resource of handouts: Mandatory Disclosure Checklist, Assessment Checklist, Safety Action Plan, Sample Behavior Agreement, Continuity of Care Checklist, and more.

This is a 2.5-CE noninteractive, self-paced online video course delivered in home study format via an industry-standard online learning platform.
