What is energy? What is the mind? And how does energy make the mind possible? This groundbreaking webinar dives into these fundamental questions, unraveling the deep connection between biological energy and mental health.

For too long, terms like “energy” and “mind” have been vague and confusing. But thanks to advancements in metabolism research and neuroscience, we now understand how energy fluctuations impact cognition, emotional regulation, and overall mental well-being.

This seminar breaks it down in a clear, engaging way—starting at the cellular level. Every one of our cells, including brain cells, contains mitochondria—our internal energy factories. Easy shorthand to remember, these mighty “mitos” power the brain, which is disproportionally one of the most energy-hungry organs in the body. Their primary output, ATP (think “All That Power”), is essential in many ways: the health of these energy powerplants not only plays a primary role in our survival, but also whether we can maintain immunity to illness and enjoy mental health.

Join us in exploring how optimizing your body’s energy production can transform mental function, emotional balance, and overall well-being!

12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Energy in Our Body’s Systems

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Mental Health and The Mind’s Operating Networks

Objectives:

This training will provide participants clinical knowledge and tools to:

a). After completing this training, participants will be able to discuss the interactions between energy, the immune system, genes, brain dynamics, and mental health.

b). After completing this training, participants will be able to describe how our mitochondria must take in the right amount of oxygen and glucose to generate ATP (energy).

c). After completing this training, participants will be able to explain how a surge of free radicals can occur and also kill off our mitochondria.

d). After completing this training, participants will be able to clarify about how fluctuations in energy supply can affect long-term health.

e). After completing this training, participants will be able to understand how energy can play a role in how genes are expressed or suppressed.

f). After completing this training, participants will be able to assess how stress systems can undermine energy production and supply.
