CE That Meets Alaska Requirements
If you’re a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Alaska, the requirements are:
A minimum of forty-five (45) contact hours of continuing education (CE) is required every two years for license renewal (by December 31 of even-numbered years; prorated if licensed less than 18 months during the period).
At least two (2) contact hours of the forty-five (45) must be devoted to ethics.
At least two (2) contact hours must be in addictions, two (2) in cross-cultural education, and two (2) in issues related to domestic violence, with a maximum of twenty-two and a half (22.5) contact hours allowable via individual study, correspondence, asynchronous programs, or similar formats. Continuing education must contribute to the professional competency of an LMFT and be directly related to the skills and knowledge required for practice.
